Respite Care
Support for Caregivers, Too
Respite care provides temporary, short-term relief for primary caregivers. Whether it's a few hours, an overnight stay, or a weekend, respite gives families time to rest, recharge, and take care of themselves.
Caregiving is demanding — emotionally, physically, and financially. Strive's respite services make sure caregivers have reliable backup so they can sustain the long-term commitment of supporting a loved one with a disability.
What Respite Covers
- In-home respite: a DSP comes to your home for a few hours
- Out-of-home respite: the individual stays in a Strive-supported setting temporarily
- Emergency respite: available when unexpected situations arise
- Weekend and vacation coverage
- Overnight support
Covered Under Ohio Medicaid Waivers
